Richard Hill | Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Hill is the CEO of Hill Industries, a private investment company dedicated to making principal investments in privately held companies in the manufacturing, construction, and technology industries. He has 18 years combined fixed income trading, investment banking, real estate, and business development experience in corporate finance and capital markets. Additionally, Hill Industries also provides financial engineering, structure finance, M&A, and corporate finance advisory to corporate clients. Mr. Hill was also a senior partner in the merchant banking firm, Quantum Capital Partners, LLC, where he was the Financial Advisor to Forest City Ratner Companies for their $4.5 billion mixed use project (which includes a 20,000 seat arena) in Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Hill recently represented a holding company in Côte d'Ivoire that was establishing a new bank. He structured the new bank's correspondent banking relationships, financial plan and projections, operating budget, and asset management business.

Mr. Hill’s Wall Street career began with Barclays Capital where he began as a fixed income strategy analyst, developing strategies for investment managers. After finishing graduate school, Mr. Hill became a Government Bond Trader in London and New York. Later he moved to the Emerging Markets desk where he ran the Sovereign Emerging Markets Trading in the Americas. There he provided market-making execution for hedge fund and investment manger clients of the bank.

At Citigroup, Mr. Hill was hired as a vice president in the Global Structured Finance Group. There he focused on private placements and structured real estate transactions. Mr. Hill was an integral part of the team that completed the Southdown (Cemex) private placement of $755 million--the largest transaction in this asset class in over a decade. Mr. Hill then moved to the High Grade Global Loans Syndication Group where he managed the Northeast Regional Book; covering companies such as Raytheon, United Technologies, Ernst & Young, and other large cap diversified companies. Additionally, Mr. Hill structured syndicated loans for companies in the Energy sector.

Right out of college, Mr. Hill went to work for CB Commercial (now CB Richard Ellis), the largest commercial real estate company in the US. There he specialized in REIT investment management and due diligence, industrial real estate, and sale-leaseback financings.

Mr. Hill has a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from New York University; an MBA from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona; and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.

Shaun Meyers | Chief Operating Officer

Shaun Meyers brings over 21 years of extensive proven construction experience to Hill Industries, specifically in the areas of mechanical and general contracting. Prior to joining Hill Industries as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Meyers was co-owner and president of Proteus, Inc., a full service construction firm, specializing in general/mechanical contracting and construction management. Proteus’ clients included both public and private sector entities such as the Government of the District of Columbia, Howard University, Federal Government Agencies, private developers and major general contractors. As a firm, Proteus participated in the Federal Government’s 8a program and was certified as a Small Disadvantage Business that generated over $65 million in revenue at the rate of approximately $15 million per annum.

As the president of Proteus, Mr. Meyers was responsible for day to day oversight of the firm’s strategic planning, business development and staff supervision of a full-service contracting firm that performed everything from mechanical and construction to facilities maintenance, operation and general contracting. Other clients included the Army Corps of Engineers, the Department of the Navy, National Park Service, General Services Administration (GSA), Social Security Administration, Veterans Administration, and the Department of Education.

Mr. Meyers holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the University of the District of Columbia. Mr. Meyers has completed further study from the University of the District of Columbia’s Professional Real Estate Appraising Program and the Standards of Professional Practice Program. Mr. Meyers is also certified through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management Program and is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.

Dr. Frederick Foreman | Chief Information & Security Officer

Frederick J. Foreman is a graduate of the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is well-versed in mathematical algorithms for software encryption and mathematical modeling of random physical phenomena.

Dr. Foreman, serves as Chief Information & Security Officer for Hill Industries. For the past 10 years Dr. Foreman has led Mathematical Modeling, Inc. in obtaining successful contracts with the DoD. Noteworthy is his effort in helping the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) in obtain its Milestone A, B, and C approvals for the $1.8 billion Net-centric Enterprise Services (NCES) program. This program revolutionized how the DoD supports the warfighter now and in the future with core enterprise services enabling rapid decision making, planning, and execution among Combatant Commanders, Agencies, and the Joint Chief of Staff. In addition, Dr. Foreman was the Lead Computer Scientist for Program Management Support Services for the Global Command and Control System (GCCS) and the Global Combat Support System (GCSS).

Dr. Foreman has over 30 years of industrial experience in materials manufacturing and System Development and Design. He has over 40 inventions in developing electromechanical processes that support the design of machinery for materials processing from conception, pilot plant, startup, and production. He was the lead Plant Start-up Engineer for a $60 million Plant Expansion project for the Procter & Gamble Company in Albany, Ga. He was the Senior Engineer of record for the #7 cold mill and coil slitting operations for the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) in Davenport, Iowa.

Dr. Foreman has received two distinguished patents for the surface treatment of aluminum alloys to improve their ruggedness and make them impervious to laser fire. He has extensive experience in the rapid heat treatment of organic materials and making them rugged to harsh environmental conditions.

A former University Professor at MIT, FAMU, and FSU for 15 years, Dr. Foreman is also a distinguished scholar and researcher and has received 21 distinguished awards including being recognized in Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide, selected to Tau Beta Pi, Pi-Tau-Sigma, Sigma Xi, and the New York Academy of Sciences. He also was a GEM Graduate Fellow, NASA Graduate Fellow, Patricia Roberts Harris Fellow, received the MIT Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service, is a Senior Member of SME, received the Teacher of the Year Award, and the Superior Accomplishment Award at Florida A&M University.

Dr. Foreman holds three (3) degrees in Mechanical Engineering: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1975), Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1975), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida A&M University (FAMU) and Florida State University (FSU) College of Engineering (1995)

Dr. Foreman has successfully obtained, managed, and executed over $17 million in Government Grants and Contracts and hold a Top Secret Security Clearance in the Department of Defense. He has written several papers in Journals and conferences on the mechanical behavior of orthotropic and composite materials. Dr. Foreman has held several executive positions as the CTO for HMIRA Inc., COO for General Interactive, Inc.

Sean Reed | Chief Financial Engineer

Mr. Reed is the Chief Financial Engineer for Hill Industries. He has over 17 years of finance experience including senior roles leading derivatives trading, market risk management, investment strategy, treasury, and risk analysis functions.

After Barclays, Mr. Reed moved from trading into fundamental credit research, joining Citigroup’s Corporate Bond Research division in 2000. Mr. Reed advised the firm’s clients on investments in mortgage and other specialty finance companies, bond guarantors, and global insurance companies as a securities analyst. While at Citigroup, Mr. Reed also analyzed and evaluated numerous capital markets transactions involving equity, debt, preferred stock, and structured securities, as well as mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.

Mr. Reed next moved to Quanta Capital Holdings, Ltd. a start-up Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance company in 2003. There he initially led credit and interest rate risk management and was a senior member of the firm’s Investment Policy team. Mr. Reed also served on the firm’s hedge fund due diligence and investment strategy evaluation team during this time. He was ultimately promoted to Senior V.P. & Treasurer, where he additionally took sole responsibility for asset allocation, investment strategy, and investment operations for the firm. Mr. Reed’s analysis was instrumental in keeping the firm’s investments entirely out of the CDO sector after 2006.

Mr. Reed graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fordham University, where he earned a B.S. in Physics and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He has a Master's Degree in Economics from New York University.

Moussa Kone | Managing Director – Head of Consulting, Africa

Moussa Kone is a Managing Director with Hill Industries and head of consulting in Africa. Mr. Kone has 14 years of combined banking and management experience specializing in project management, operations, customer service, sales, finance and banking. He has experience managing the acquisition of an existing bank, and leading the charter formation of a new bank in West Africa. Mr. Kone developed his banking experience with NationsBank, Bank Of America, Chevy Chase Bank, and SunTrust Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from George Mason University, a Master of Business Administration from Howard University, and a Master of Arts in Development Finance and Banking from the American University.
